Why Become a Member?
Joining a church is an outward expression of your inward commitment to Christ and the work He is doing in your life and your community.  Becoming a member allows you to use the gifts God has given you to the fullest extent in serving and/or leadership at Stonebridge Church.  Your membership communicates your desire and commitment to bring glory to God through your behavior, choices and service to others. 


What are the Responsibilities of a Member?

  • To live daily to please the Lord, through the power of the Holy Spirit and in accordance with the Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:10, 19-20; Romans 6:13, Colossians 3:1-17)
  • To study the Bible and pray faithfully and diligently (II Timothy 3:16-17; Colosiians 4:2; Psalm 119:9-11; I Peter 4:7; I Thessalonians 5:17)
  • To be supportive of the people and ministries of the church (I Peter 4:8; Acts 2:42-47)
  • To be faithful, in so far as possible, in attending worship and prayer services, business meetings and other ministries of the church which will aid in spiritual growth (Hebrews 10:25)
  • To use the spiritual gifts and abilities God has given to serve others in the church (I Peter 4:10-11; I Corinthians 12: 7-11)
  • Togive regularly, proportionately, generously and cheerfully for the work of the Lord (Malachi 3:8-10; I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 9:7)
  • To be accountable to the church for any sin which might need church discipline (Galations 6:1; Matthew 18: 15-17)

How do I Become a Member?
To become a member of Stonebridge Church, we ask that you attend a Welcome to the Family Seminar. Offered quarterly, these seminars provide an overview of what we believe and your role as a member in the local church and the global body of Christ. All spiritually born-again believers who feel God has led them to be part of this church are encouraged to attend a Welcome to the Family Seminar led by our pastoral staff and the elder leadership team.

Our next Welcome to the Family Seminar  will be held on Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th.  Attendance is required at both the Friday night session (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) and Saturday morning session (8:30 - 11:30 am).
