A note from our Senior Pastor...
Dear Stonebridge Friend,
Over the past few months, as we have studied the book of Judges together, I've noted God's timing in the lives of His people. He often poured out His Spirit on leaders and displayed His grace toward His people to accomplish His purposes. The same is true in the history of Cedar Hills Evangelical Free/Stonebridge Church. From our humble beginnings in a cornfield on Midway Drive in 1958, He has faithfully guided our church in proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to our community. We've grown spiritually and numerically from our original 40 charter members and just a year ago, celebrated our 50th Anniversary as a church family. Our journey has always been by faith and for God's glory. Today God has provided our wonderful Stonebridge facility in which to teach His word, share His love, and introduce people to the joy of His church.
It is my prayer and the prayer of my family, our leaders, and Campaign Team that we at Stonebridge Church will recognize and respond to God's guidance in our lives. This is why our new campaign theme is Forward in Faith.
As you consider the changed lives and what God has done in our past, our present, and what He will do in our future, you will get a clear sense of the plan and vision for ministry that is in the hearts and minds of our leaders. We pray that arm in arm we can approach this venture of faith, giving praise to God for His provision in His time.
I have been praying for you as your read this challenge. You are a valued family member and I am thrilled to be you Pastor. We are on the verge of unprecedented opportunities to minister to our community. Blessed with a wonderful facility as God's tool, we now need resources to continue investing in Kingdom work that leads to changed lives. Please pray that God will give us courage to take the steps of faith that He has in mind for each of us. May the Lord pour out His blessing upon you. It is a privilege to be a part of this great family.
